Caitlin’s Fitness Lifestyle Photo Shoot in Denver RiNo Art District

I had the opportunity to work with Caitlin Logue, a fitness competitor and overall inspiring person, on this fitness lifestyle photo shoot in Denver’s RiNo Art District. The goal of the session was to capture both the strength and lifestyle side of her fitness journey in a way that felt real and authentic.

Caitlin is an NPC bikini competitor who placed 2nd in the Mile High Showdown. Beyond competing, she shares her fitness journey to motivate and inspire others who are working toward their own goals.

"So grateful for the opportunity to compete at the 2018 Mile High Showdown. I placed 2nd
in Open Class E and 2nd in Novice Class C. I’m super happy with the physique that I brought
to the stage. A huge congratulations to each and every competitor who competed
yesterday. I’m looking forward to hearing feedback from the judges and wow!"

Planning the Fitness Photoshoot

We planned a photoshoot incorporating gym and urban settings to capture both the performance and lifestyle aspects of her training. Having a clear vision going into the shoot made a big difference in how everything came together, especially in transitioning between natural light outdoors and professional lighting inside the gym.

"Hi there! I love your work and would like to schedule a photoshoot...I'd like to do a fitness and
lifestyle shoot. One scene in the gym and other outdoors."

Shooting in the RiNo Art District and Gym

The RiNo Art District in Denver is one of the best locations for a fitness lifestyle shoot. It offers a mix of textures, murals, and industrial backdrops that pair perfectly with fitness photography.

For this shoot, we combined outdoor urban shots with a gym session to capture both sides of Caitlin’s fitness journey. The outdoor portion gave us a raw, lifestyle feel, while the gym allowed us to focus more on strength and performance.

Inside the gym, I used professional lighting to highlight muscle definition and create a more dramatic, polished look. This approach is something I use for Denver gym photoshoots when clients want that strong, high-impact aesthetic while still keeping the images clean and natural.

A Proven Approach That Still Works Today

Since this shoot, fitness photography has continued to grow, especially in Denver, where more athletes and competitors are building their personal brands. Sessions like this are still one of the best ways to capture both the physical results and the lifestyle behind the work.

I still use a similar approach today when planning fitness and gym photoshoots, combining strong posing, natural light, and controlled lighting to create a mix of powerful and lifestyle-driven images.

5-Star Review ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

"Tony is great to work with and he is such a talented photographer. Arriving to the location on time
and ready to go, Tony was able to capture each element of the scene with his unique camera angles
and his talent for capturing the light just right. We did a lifestyle shoot and a fitness shoot all in one
session and this speaks to Tony's ability to work with different style types. I was blown away by the
final photos! Everything from ordering the photoshoot to receiving digital prints was a simple
process. If you are in the Denver area and looking for a fitness photographer, I would definitely
recommend!"
